nVidia's latest in the GeForce series. Recently there's been quite the controversy over nVidia's drivers for these bad boys, whether the "optimisations" they're using are really just code optimisations that make things faster, while still doing the same thing, or whether they're sacrificing quality for performance. I'm not sure I want to get into that whole debate. Anyway, the GeForceFX cards give very respectable performance in the games you can buy right now.. the worry is whether they'll be able to stack up to Ati's cards when Half-life 2 comes out (and the first round of benchmarks don't look good at all for nVidia).

However, since Half-life 2's been delayed so much, nVidia now has a fair bit of time to work stuff out, and maybe even get out something new, before crunch time.. it'll be interesting to see what they do.
