The best coffee shop in the world. Ever. I'm serious. This place freakin' rules. Their coffee is great, they have comfy chairs and a fireplace, and they're licensed so you can get Bailey's in that large latte. Mmmmmm.

The best thing, however, is their ginger cream cookies. Basically it's a ginger snap on top, one on the bottom, and icing in the middle. I know it sounds a bit weird, but fuck are they ever good. They go so nicely with a latte too, the sweetness of the cookie and icing contrasting wonderfully with the mild bitterness of the coffee. If you're ever in Calgary you have to go to this place. It rules. I used to think the only thing they didn't have was wireless Internet, but now apparently they do have it, through something called FatPort. I'll have to give a try the next time I'm in Calgary...

HigherGround is on Kensington Rd. NW in Calgary, just slightly west of 10th St. I don't know the exact address but it's not hard to find. As soon as one of the CalgaryGang sends me a picture of the place (I Googled but didn't find) I'll put it up.
